Theaim of theShandong University Scholarshipfor International Students (hereinafter refers to SDU Scholarship)isto financially supportoutstandingnewinternational students. Every year,a number ofoutstanding undergraduates, masters and doctoral students are selectedas winners.

I.Eligibility

1.Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.

2.Degreeand age requirements:

Applicants mustholda high school graduateoranequivalentqualification and beunder the age of 25 when applying forBachelorprograms;

Applicants mustholdaBachelor’s degreeor haveanequivalentqualification and beunder the age of 35 when applying forMaster programs;

Applicants mustholdaMaster’s degreeoranequivalentqualification and beunder the age of 40 when applying forPh.D.programs.

3. Haveanexcellent academic performance andstrong scientific researchskills.

4.The applicant cannot be awarded any other scholarship funded by the Chinese government during the period he or she receives the SDU Scholarship.

5.Language requirements:

For programs taught in Chinese:

(1)Applicants must have obtained 210 points or above in the HSK 4 test when applying for Bachelor programs;

(2)Applicants must have obtained 180 points or above in the HSK 5 test when applying for Master programs;

(3)Applicants must have obtained 180 points or above in the HSK 6 test when applying for Ph.D. programs.

6. For programs taught in English

(1)Native English speakers (U.K., U.S., Canada, New-Zealand, Australia).

(2) English speakersare required to submit results of IELTS (6.0 or above), TOEFL (80 points or above/ Mybest Scores are accepted, DI codefor Shandong University: C296) or other equivalent certificatesto proveEnglish proficiency.

(3) English speakerswho have obtainedthehighest degreeor diplomain an institution where the language of instruction is Englishare not requiredtosubmitIELTS/TOEFL scores. Officialproof ofEnglish asthe language of instructionmust be provided.

VI.Others

1.Scholarshipwinnersshould finish registration on time. Those who fail to registerand do not getapprovalto register at a later datewill beassumed asgiving uptheir admission andtheirscholarship will becanceled.

2. Scholarship studentsmust participate inanannual review. Those who failthe assessment willbe suspendedortheir scholarship will beannulled.Please ensure theannual review regulationsare adhered to on time.
